  Our forum to interact witht the community

Inspiration

Muslim women all over the world particularly in minority countries face abuse on a daily basis. New reverts find themselves often alone, without support and unable to live peacfully.

What it does

The community forum allows women to seek help from other women and helps answer their doubts and queries. It allows them to join and host events, organise meetups and other activities. It also helps women be wary of hate groups and organizations and increase awareness among them which ban the hijab or contain things deemed inappropriate by them.

How we built it

The site is built using Velo by Wix

Challenges we ran into

SInce it was the first time using wix, a learning curve was done to connect databases and using the Velo API

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm happy to have finished a presentable forum with the time constraints and get the forum running.

What's next for Sisterhood

An interactive map to share real time location for women to meet up immediately. I'd like for it to be the forefront for women of faith to use.
