Inspiration
The idea for TimeCatter was inspired by virtual pets, which have become beloved companions for many. Just like an electronic pet, TimeCatter aims to keep users company while they work on their computers, ensuring they never feel alone during their tasks. The playful interaction with the cat meowing sound adds a touch of companionship and fun to daily routines.
What it does
It reminds individuals with their tasks and give alert at a specific time with a cat meowing sound.
How we built it
TimeCatter was built using a combination of a small LCD screen and an Arduino. The LCD screen is used to display the schedule and task reminders. The Arduino handles the scheduling logic and triggers the display updates, which also controls the LCD screen and ensures accurate visual representation. The cat meowing sounds are generated through the speaker of laptop, creating an integrated system that seamlessly combines visual and auditory alerts.
Challenges we ran into
We encounter multiple problems integrating the hardware components with the software backend. Additionally, we aimed to enhance user experience by separating the time display functionality from the main computer system using the time module component, but we were unable to access the module. However, instead we connected the time display to our main computer.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud for what we have done so far as we successfully integrated hardware components (arduino uno, and an LCD screen) to create a cohesive system.

• Created a unique and engaging way to manage time, inspired by the concept of virtual pets, which adds a playful element to daily tasks.
What we learned
Throughout the development process, we learned valuable lessons about the complexities of integrating software and hardware. We gained insights into helping the user experience technology integrated physical components.
What's next for In-N-Out | TimeCatter
Moving Forward, we aim to further refine and enhance our capabilities as we implement more AI advanced features, and refining the user interface for improved usability and accessibility.
