TABLE 51 Have you ever left your wallet at home? Or perhaps has your phone died after a really long day?
The Cambridge dictionary describes a "Smarty-Pants" as "Someone who wants to appear clever". Our project not only improves the look of an individual but the pants ARE literally smarter.
We have made a lot of common devices "Smart", yet when have pants ever seen the smart evolution?
What it does
From wireless charging to alert system for forgetting your wallet. The smart pants make your everyday life so much better. Patent Pending.
How I built it
Raspberry PI's, Elegoo, a ton of batteries, Sensors, RFID, and an app
Challenges I ran into
Hardware. None of us have hardware experience.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Reading and writing machine-level code to format RFID on a raspberry pi to do what we want.
What I learned
Learned how to sew, Bluetooth compatibility and setting up local servers for GPS handling.
What's next for Smart-E-Pants
More sensors like accelerometers and gyroscopes. Hopefully, solar power will charge rechargeable batteries so as to reduce waste.
