Inspiration

Ever wondered what would happen if all of your favorite fictional characters ended up in one place? A lot of dumb arguments and squabbles, that's for sure!! Joker trying to laugh his way to oblivion, Iron man throwing out petty comments on everyone, while the Scooby gang just wants to solve the crime committed by Doofenshmirtz's! We were intrigued, so we tried to recreate these squabbles in a game format, inspired by the pokemon games we all love.We used pygame to create a 2d game, where you can battle out your pettiness

Game Play

  • It can either be played locally, or connected with a server for multiplayer
  • Move around the game map to get different arenas
  • Select and play as your favorite character
  • Use silly attacks to win the game

Challenges we ran into

  • We are new to using pygame, so learning and using that was a challenge.
  • We tried to use socket for creating a server with multiple clients, for multiplayer game mode, but it didn't work due to time restrictions.
  • As we are new to both these technologies, it was difficult to learn and implement them at the same time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Writing the dumb and funny attacks in character JSON file was really fun
  • Making a complete game in pygame
  • Managing and creating a server

What's next for squabble

  • Make the game server, so it can be multiplayer
  • Deploy the server, so it can be accessible to everyone
  • Add more fun characters and attacks
