Inspiration
The inspiration behind StrongerToday comes from the idea of providing a simple yet effective tool for personal development. As the founder of the project, I was always passionate about self-improvement and wanted to create something that could inspire and motivate people from all walks of life to push beyond their limits and become the best versions of themselves.
What it does
StrongerToday is a Python-based application that provides daily motivational quotes and prompts to help users stay inspired and focused on their goals. The app has a minimalist user interface, making it easy to use for people of all ages and backgrounds. Users can also choose to receive daily quotes via email to keep them motivated throughout the day.
How we built it
The StrongerToday app was built using Python and various open-source libraries. The project was developed using the PyCharm IDE, and the source code was managed using Git. The app was also integrated with the Courier API to enable email notifications and Forismatic API to generate motivational quotes.
Challenges we ran into
One of the main challenges I faced during the development of StrongerToday was integrating the app with the Courier API for email notifications. I had to spend a significant amount of time researching and experimenting with the API to get it to work seamlessly with the app. Additionally, I had to ensure that the app was optimized for speed and performance, which required several iterations of testing and debugging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One of the main accomplishments I'm proud of is creating a simple yet effective tool for personal development that can inspire and motivate people. I'm also proud of integrating the Courier API with the app, as this has enabled us to provide users with email notifications that keep them motivated throughout the day.
What we learned
Through the development of StrongerToday, I learned several important lessons about software development. I learned the importance of testing and debugging and the need to optimize our code for speed and performance. I also learned about the importance of user experience design and the need to create an app that is simple and easy to use.
What's next for StrongerToday
Moving forward, my goal for StrongerToday is to continue to provide users with new and inspiring content that can help them achieve their personal and professional goals. I also plan to incorporate new features into the app, such as motivational articles and community features, to help users connect with each other and stay motivated as a group. Finally, we plan to optimize the app for mobile devices to make it even more accessible to users on-the-go.
