Inspiration
This project started from something we all struggle with—staying organized while studying. Notes are scattered, tasks slip our minds, focus sessions don’t last, and motivation drops fast. We wanted one place that feels simple, lively, and actually helps us stay consistent. The idea was to create a study hub that’s not boring or overwhelming, but something students want to use.
What it does
The platform brings together everything a student needs to stay productive: a clean notes system, a planner for tasks, AI-powered assistance, dedicated study rooms, and a focus timer to stay on track. The dashboard gives a quick snapshot of productivity—focus time, completed tasks, notes created, and what’s coming next. It turns everyday studying into a smoother, more structured experience.
How we built it
We designed a playful yet functional UI inspired by productivity apps but with a more energetic aesthetic. The backend manages notes, tasks, timers, and user data, while the AI integration helps users ask questions and get instant explanations. Each feature—Notes, Planner, Focus Mode, Study Rooms—was built to work independently but feel seamless together in the dashboard.
Challenges we ran into
The hardest part was making the interface feel simple despite having multiple features. Getting the layout to look clean on different screens took several attempts. Integrating the AI assistant in a smooth, non-distracting way was another challenge. We also had to balance color, typography, and spacing so the design stays fun without feeling too loud.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of how cohesive the platform feels. Everything—from the focus timer to the notes and planner—works together without confusion. The dashboard overview came out exactly how we imagined: minimal, direct, and visually engaging. Building a tool that feels both useful and motivating was a big win for us.
What we learned
We learned that UI/UX plays a much bigger role in productivity tools than we expected. Small design choices made a huge difference in how users interacted with the app. We also gained experience in managing multiple interconnected features and keeping the experience consistent across all of them.
What’s next for the project
Next, we want to add real-time collaborative study rooms, smarter AI suggestions for tasks and study plans, streaks and rewards to boost motivation, cloud sync, and maybe even a mobile app. We’re also exploring personalized analytics to show users how their study habits evolve over time.
