Inspiration

Our inspiration was derived from problems our family members, friends and peers face when owning many subscription plans. With owning many plans some issues may include forgetting passwords, unknowingly paying for an ongoing subscription or being hacked into for having a predictable password. Fortunately, Subscripz fixes all of that for you!

What it does?

Subscripz is an all-in-one platform that will regularly notify you and help you keep track of your subscriptions and bills that you have to automatically or manually pay when the deadline arrives. Moreover, it is a password manager that also recommends highly secured generated passwords as well.

How we built it?

The prototype, Subscripz was mainly built using Figma, however, some design processes for images like profile photos or logos were completed on Canva.

Challenges we ran into?

There were not many issues that we ran into as a group, because we were able to manage our time wisely, however, we did have some struggles using certain software like Figma because we were quite new at using it so many configurations had to be researched for.

Accomplishments that we're proud of?

One of our many accomplishments included being more familiar with platforms such as Figma and Canva. We were all able to learn using Figma especially, through trial and error as well as extensive research. Also, for those of us who were more comfortable with other tasks such as writing the text or designing the formatting, we were able to play to our strengths in order to complete our project.

What we learned?

Since most of our team was not very well-versed in Canva and Figma, we learned how to use these software's. We also learned that in order to build a functional prototype you'd need at least 36 hours to do so, as well as proper time management and communications skills to voice your opinions, troubles and feedback in groups.

What's next for Subscripz?

Since we were only able to prototype the idea of Subscripz, it is not fully operational, the next steps would definitely be to develop it further into a functional app using Flutter and hopefully add a chatbox using Twilio's API so that users can utilize to voice their concerns and questions.
