Inspiration
We understand how difficult it is for teachers to make a seating plan for their students that will satisfy everyone AND not result in absolute chaos throughout the school year. So, we made SuperSeater, the ultimate seating chart generator to help teachers with this issue.
What it does
SuperSeater acts as a student directory for each teacher to keep track of their student's behaviors, quirks, and other important information. And with this information, SuperSeater generates a seating plan based on the teacher's preferences for their classroom.
How we built it
We used Django to build the backend of the SuperSeater web application and HTML/CSS to build to frontend components.
Challenges we ran into
We have never used Django or databases before, so it was difficult to learn how to use the framework to incorporate our idea. We have have very minimal experience with HTML/CSS so the front-end design was very difficult as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learned Django! And we were actually able to submit a project!

What's next for SuperSeater
We would love to expand the form abilities, allowing the teachers to edit what can be sent to students in the form they fill out. Also improve our sorting methods to be able to sort more efficiently.
