Inspiration

Modern lifestyle by design is is fast and wasteful which creates this unnecessary cycle of Buy. Use. Throw and Buy More. We buy products that we can't consume which leads to wasteful production and create a negative impact on the environment.

What it does

Swapsta is a product swapping application that allows you to swap your products that may not be useful for you with someone who finds it useful for something you might actually require.

How we built it

We had the honour working with a great designer and a few developers who sacrificed their nights working on the flutter project. We also had to explore other domains like video editing, UI designing and even film making for our little skit! (find it attached below)

Challenges we ran into

Resolving merge conflicts, ideation was a slow start. Lack of sleep from trying to make a mvp in time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of the fact that we were able to come up with the idea, a beautiful design and a working prototype of Swapsta in a matter of just 24 hours. Proper task allocations and a correct synergy between the team members helped us achieve this and we couldn't be more proud of that!

What we learned

Working with a team, proper time/sleep management. We had to learn and explore new technologies in order to pull off this project. The importance of proper role distribution and accountability for one's own is also something we all learnt while working as a team.

What's next for Swapsta

We believe that Swapsta will help normalise the swap culture and also help create swap communities for Sneakerheads, art enthusiasts or just people with common interests. The core of our aim has always been to reduce the carbon footprint due to wasteful production and lessen the burden on our environment and we will continue to build on that.
