We got many inappropriate messages when we first tested out dating app automation.

We automatically conduct background checks on dating app matches.

How we built it

We used browser automation technologies and web scraping to pull information about potential dating app matches.

Challenges we ran into

Some websites were hard to crawl and scrape. The automation was tough tedious to get right.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting everything to work well and got great feedback from potential users.

What we learned

A ton about not only the struggles of trying to date safely, but also, how much public data is available online!

What's next for SwipeSafe

Release an open source version that anyone can use, possibly as a chrome extension.
