Inspiration

Taskeroom was inspired by the need for an efficient, user-friendly, and streamlined platform for task management and ACTUAL execusion. The main reason of projects being put on hold, or delayed, is because we don't do it in timely manner, or is personal level, don't do it at all. We realized some simple truth of making people DO stuff are, italics 1 : Being supervised 2: Doing with like-minded 3: Decide on when, what and where to do it 4: Being suggested or forced to do it 5: Repeat the habit and make do-it unconcious act 6: Gamification (Making it fun) So we made the tool that connects with Square Payment API and automate the whole process of manager -> send tasks & monitor & pay <-do it <- get help from AI partner <-staff. italics We wanted more automation in task handling, no matter how complicated or simple that is. With someone to supervise us and report to, we believe that our tool will effectively improve experiences of Square workers, sellers and partners.

What it does

Taskeroom is a web-based task management application that provides a platform for users to create, assign, track and manage tasks. It offers different dashboards for managers and users, highlighting the information most relevant to each role. Managers can oversee team performance and progress, while users can focus on their individual tasks and achievements. Manager can upload paid tasks using the Square APIs and Users can get those rewards (using Square Apis) after successful completion of tasks.

How we built it

We utilized React and Tailwind CSS for crafting an intuitive and responsive frontend. For managing secure user Google authentication, we relied on Firebase, MongoDB, using Flask and Python. RESTful API binds the frontend and backend, utilizing chatGPT API to give user todo breakdown, and Square APIs payment processing to make Taskeroom fun while being productive.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled with Square API handling. Also with time management with any other hackathons. However, it made us believe even more strongly that we need Taskeroom live in this world.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are really proud of successfully implementing role-based functionalities, providing managers and users with a personalized experience with beautiful UI. We have familiarized ourselves with Square API and had fun customizing it. Some sleepless nights but it was worth it.

What we learned

We have researched Square platform and API a lot, as well as UI/UX to serve our user the best. Also task management---that time is never enough.

What's next for Taskeroom

Taskeroom will integrate more features to seemlessly automate general tasks, too, like employee health/mental care, as it is the best at minimizing the cost and energy to execuse tasks and take away user's burden. Then, we will launch alpha for users as soon as possible.
