Inspiration

Personal experiences and observations as a busy college student at the gym waiting for our turns to use the machines - how to make the workout process more efficient?

What it does

TechFit helps gym-goers cut the fat out of the typical gym experience by allowing them to join a digital queue for gym equipment without having to wait around in between sets.

How we built it

TechFit was built with SQL Developer and HTML (as well as sweat and tears). We also planned to use python and flask to integrate the web application.

Challenges we ran into

Troubles on both coding both the front-end and back-end as well as integration.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud of researching and trying out new technologies that would help us achieve our objectives! Although we run into many error codes along the time, we were glad so many mentors gave us pointers and introduced to more open and free resources that we could take advantage of in the future.

What we learned

That we can have the most brilliant idea in the world, but in order to bring it to life we need to consider the feasibility, implementation, user experience, as well as scalability in the longrun.

What's next for TechFit

More user-friendly interfact for the front-end: polished website as well as mobile app; More robust back-end: link to established user database and resilient, dynamic tables that seamlessly updates information of the queues every 30 seconds.
