Inspiration

We thought it would be a cool and interesting idea to make a zero-player game.

What it does

The Zero Game is an incredibly thought-provoking tool for simulating the complexities of human civilization and exploring the consequences of different scenarios, such as a world without oxygen or a world on fire. By setting up a virtual world with specific parameters, players can observe how the system evolves over time and explore the outcomes of different decisions and scenarios. These scenarios can be incredibly enlightening, forcing players to consider how humanity would adapt and survive in such extreme situations, and what the long-term impact on society and the planet would be. The Zero Game is a unique and engaging way to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of how human civilization interacts with the natural world. By playing The Zero Game and simulating different scenarios, players can gain insights into how they can help to create a more sustainable future for humanity and the planet. If you're interested in exploring the complexities of human civilization and challenging your assumptions about how the world works, The Zero Game is definitely worth playing.

How we built it

We used Python and Dall-E.

Challenges we ran into

The NPCs kept duplicating and then there was a layering glitch. We also couldn't get the characters to move sometimes.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got the NPCs to move by themselves and we got Dall-E to work so we can change the trees, flowers, and buildings.

What we learned

We learned that Python sucks for game dev.

What's next for The Zero Game

Add more characters and fix some bugs.
