Inspiration

Messy closets in real life turned into an ordered and structured digital wardrobe.

What it does

Removes noise from images, stores the cleaned images in browser cache, allows photo manipulation, and categorization of photographs.

How we built it

Using Python Flask and the rembg API, we cleaned background noise from images, and then stored said images in browser cache.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating a third party library into a web service while also storing and visualizing the result of the GitHub library calls.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully utilizing an open-sourced library in order to present a more visually appealing product to users.

What we learned

GitHub version control and collaboration techniques as well as Flask implementation for web design.

What's next for Threaded

Migrating user data to a database server and hosting the service on a cloud server. Future features may include GenAI recommendation of clothing articles missing in user's current wardrobe and simple buy-here buttons on the web service.
