What it does
It is an all-in-one productivity app that organizes your valuable afterschool time. You simply add your homework and TIMExtra automatically updates your schedule leaving the most time for breaks and reducing procrastination.
How we built it
We built this website using Tailwind CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. We used Firebase, and used Google's API system to make a log in page for the site.
Challenges we ran into
We needed to get an email from the login page to the submit page, and we decided to use cookies to temporarily store the data. We also had to learn how to read and write to the Firebase database in an organized manner that allowed us to access the data in the future.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We got the tasks to go to the database to be stored, and when the user requests for it to be deleted, it would be removed from the database. We also got the domain to work, to frequently update the website, we made a GitHub repo where we keep committing and push our files to web.
What we learned
We learned how to read, store, and delete items from the database, and we also learnt how to manage tasks with our teams, this means that everyone on the team had a task to do, and must complete it.
What's next for TIMExtra
We can add more features, including on making auto tasks and the ability to reschedule a task for a future date.
