It's two trains, one that goes fast and one that goes slower. You can imagine your life on this train, waiting all 1-15 hours slowly meandering along, or go on the slightly faster train for only 1-11 hours. This project was inspired by all the time I spend on the train because the train is pretty slow. I look out the window at the highway while on the train, and I see the cars moving forward (this means they are moving faster than the train). I hope that one day the train may be fast, like the slightly faster train pictured in the project.
The train only works going north because design oversights it represents the ever-coldening feeling that you get when you've been on the train for 8 hours because of delays. However, I have hope that trains will one day be faster--just as my ancestors once rode on 4-day trains, and I ride on 4+hour trains, maybe my descendants will ride on 40-minute trains.
