Ken’s Bike and Ski shop is a bike and ski shop located in Davis. It faces a unique challenge, where it has two completely different markets, and both of them occur at different times in the year. From February to September, bikes are the general market. From September to January, ski supplies are the market. However, Ken’s management constantly faces a bigger challenge - their employees are college students, and generally leave bi-annually, or annually. This causes Ken’s owner to have to waste 75 hours training a new employee, sometimes multiple times a year. The owner estimates that he must spend up to 300 hours training per year.
