Inspiration
People with mental illness have to travel for many reasons. It may be because they have to or because they want a vacation. However a lot of them are afraid to travel because their mental illness my cause them to have an uncomfortable traveling experience.
What it does
TravelNow is an open source traveling assistant that helps people with mental illnesses have a more comfortable traveling experience. It allows users to easily search and book flights through the assistant. It also gives therapy to the users at different points of the travel experience so that users are always comfortable. It's also open source so that anyone can add their own therapy modules.
How we built it
We built it using Flutter for front-end and node.js for backend
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges of integrating traveling apis. We also had to identify aspects that travelers with mental illness most had problems with and how to address it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We made a whole app in 2 days!!!
