Triip

Inspiration

Although the tourism industry seems affected at this time, this sector's explosive growth awaits at the end of the pandemic. Planning a travel itinerary can be exhausting. We need information like distance, location, recommendations, and budget to determine which POI (point of interest) fits the itinerary.

What it does

Triip is a travel itinerary planner that integrates all the information and lets users easily drag and drop the places they want to go as well as the date and time at which they will be visiting these places.

How we built it

For the frontend, we used Material-UI and React.js mainly for the components. On the backend, we used Python and Django with the REST API.

Challenges we ran into

We faced some challenges regarding states in Javascript.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our User Interface, we wanted to create something that was not only functional but also visually pleasing and we believe that we did that.

What we learned

We learned about creating a functional UI and storing the different categories that we need to effectively in a database.

What's next for Triip

We would like to add a feature in which users can share their trip itineraries with others and help them plan their vacations.
