Inspiration

We wanted to make a website where it would notify the user with stock market alerts, via email or text. For CutieHack, we decided to first develop the user interface (UI) of this idea, by creating a text messaging website that deliberately sends provocative text messages to friends, in the aim of eliciting a joking response from them, also known as as "trolling".

What it does

the Trollenator is a light-hearted website that allows users to send anonymous text messages to friends. The user will input their message and their friend's cell phone number on the website. Then the website will send the message to the user's friend, using the data that has been on the user interface. The data will be stored and collected before sent to Twilio to send to your friend (the user input will be kept and due to a mix of JavaScript and AVI (using Axious and Twilio) where it will be relayed onto twilio's platform) . .

How we built it

The UI was built using JavaScript/HTML, CSS. The backend was attempted using PHP,Node.js, and Express.js.

Challenges we ran into

We could not get our website's back-end to communicate with the API using JavaScript. Therefore, our website is mostly completed, with some improvements needed in order to function.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have built the Trollenator's front page, as well as a strong foundation on programming the front-end of our website. We are also proud to attempt the website's back-end by learning and attempting to implement PHP, Node.jjs, and Express.js.

What we learned

We learned JavaScript/HTML and CSS to develop the website's UI. We also learned that developing the website's back-end is

What's next for Trollenator

After developing the website's back-end, the Trollenator will evolve to become a stockmarket analysist and notification website, in real-time.
