Inspiration

Our inspiration was being stuck between paying a monthly subscription for OpenAI or purchasing an expensive powerful GPU to run simple tasks. It would be ideal if a user can simply pay for the amount of computing power they consume and nothing more.

What it does

Unbolted provides instant access to a fleet of high-end GPUs purpose made for using, tweaking or even training AI models. It comes with a simple interface for novice users, whilst still providing the advanced control desired by powerusers.

How we built it

We wrote the backend webserver and manager in Golang, using Postgres as the database with Bun ORM on top. The frontend was written in Vite/React.js.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a couple of challenges at the starts as a majority of us are new to both programming and hackathons.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a functional MVP for our company in just 24 hours, whilst team members picked up new technologies and frameworks on-the-job.

What's next for Unbolted

In addition to adding many more template models and server options, we plan to integrate several different global cloud providers and compare the best prices in real time for our customers.
