Inspiration
It all started with eager overseas students who wished to finish their higher education in another country. We had to overcome several obstacles in order to understand more about the prerequisites and application procedure. As a result, we decided to create a website that assists students with their college application process so that they do not have to waste time searching for information that may be readily arranged.
What it does
UniStat is a free website that prepares and assists students with the college admission process. Unistat assists the user in creating a list of the best-fitting universities in their destined country, it also provides the user with a broad understanding of the requirements for this college (depending on his/her country and curriculum), it also assists them in preparing for taking the required standardized tests, and it has a calendar that organizes all of the student's deadlines, as well as some statistics and recommendations.
How we built it
We will be using Next.js(A React framework) and Tailwind CSS to build this website to make it optimized for the user as it enables us to server side render the website.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled with time management at first, but we eventually were able to overcome it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are pleased that we were able to build something that would benefit others from across the the globe, make their lives easier and have an influence, as well as collaborate with other dedicated initiatives.
What we learned
So far, this hackathon has been a fantastic experience, allowing us to meet other ambitious students and improve our time management and communication abilities. In addition to having the ability to execute tasks efficiently and under pressure,
What's next for UniStat
If our website is a success, we plan to add more features to it that will help us optimize the assistance provided to students, such as more resources and free tutoring.
