Inspiration
We wanted to create a fun, shareable AR Lens that anyone could use to instantly feel like they’re in a music video — even without advanced features like real audio sync. Our inspiration came from dance challenges, party vibes, and the energy of neon/glow effects that make short videos pop.
What it does
Vibe Morph transforms your face and gestures into a vibrant, interactive AR experience. With glowing masks, neon outlines, particle bursts, and color themes you can switch with a tap, it turns every expression into a dazzling visual vibe.
How we built it
We used Lens Studio’s block scripting to combine:
Face effects for glowing masks and outlines
Gesture triggers (smile, eyebrow raise) for particle bursts
Tap-to-change blocks for dynamic theme switching
Text overlay for the “Dance Your World!” vibe Everything was designed to run smoothly and stay under Lens size constraints.
Challenges we ran into
The block system limited advanced features like music reactivity, voice input, and multiplayer.
Designing particle and color transitions to feel energetic without real audio syncing was tricky.
Keeping the Lens under the size limit while still visually rich required optimization.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We delivered a playful, high-energy AR Lens that works fully with the supported blocks.
Found creative ways to simulate music vibes without actual audio-reactive features.
Designed something polished and hackathon-ready in a short timeline.
What we learned
How to push the limits of Lens Studio’s block system creatively.
How small design tweaks (colors, particles, timing) can create big user impact.
The importance of adapting ideas when technology constraints appear.
What's next for Vibe Morph
Add true music reactivity once Snap’s audio support expands.
Explore SnapML models for more dynamic hand/body tracking.
Create branded collabs (musicians, events, fashion) to make Vibe Morph a viral AR campaign.
Expand into a series of Vibe filters with different themes (cyberpunk, festival, retro).
