Inspiration

We know how challenging it is to balance academics, personal growth, and well-being. Women everywhere juggle multiple responsibilities often leaving self-care and well-being as an afterthought. Twice as many women than men are afraid of going to gyms and have a fear of being harassed or judged.

We wanted to create something that empowers women to prioritize their wellness without barriers. Many struggle with:

❌ Expensive yoga classes

❌ Busy schedules that leave little time for self-care

❌ Feeling uncomfortable in public fitness spaces

What it does

Vinyasa provides guided flow yoga sessions designed for all skill levels. Users can:

🌸 Follow along with structured yoga flows

🌸 Choose sessions based on their experience level & time availability

🌸 Make friends and share/track your workout activity

🌸 Practice from the comfort of your own space—no expensive studio memberships needed!

How we built it

Vinyasa was built using Figma and ReactJS framework. We worked in ReactJS, CSS, and HTML, which we developed the code in with using Figma for UI/UX Designs!

Challenges we ran into

🪷 First time using ReactJS – None of us had worked with React before! We had to learn all the basic within the 24 hour timeframe.

🪷 Translating Figma to Code – Our UI/UX vision was ambitious, and we had to experiment with CSS techniques, animations, and responsive layouts.

🪷 Time Constraints & Debugging – Working under pressure, we had unexpected React errors and UI inconsistencies. We pushed through staying up unti 4 AM debugging and testing to create a smooth UX.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

🌹 Created a project that directly supports women’s well-being and empowerment

🌹 Built a functional ReactJS app from scratch

🌹 Overcame multiple React bugs and UI challenges

What we learned

🌼 We learned styles within CSS to transfer elements of Figma to ReactJS

🌼 We learned how to deploy apps within ReactJS

🌼 We learned how to design within Figma

What's next for Vinyasa

We want to add breathwork & guided meditation for a more holistic experience. We also hope to integrate generative AI within Vinyasa to provide users with positive
