Inspiration:
Hedera API's simplicity inspired our user-focused approach to NFTs. The blend of accessibility and interactivity guides VoiceMintify's philosophy. The novel integration of voice-enabled chatbots draws from a desire for a natural user interface. Cinematic inspiration from Iron Man's Jarvis adds a touch of futuristic sophistication, especially in facial recognition. Our goal is to make NFTs user-friendly and bring a touch of sci-fi charm to the blockchain world.
What it does:
VoiceMintify, powered by Hedera APIs, simplifies NFT handling. The chatbot, crafted with Voiceflow API, responds to both text and voice commands. Facial recognition, inspired by Iron Man's tech, adds a layer of security. Users can mint, sell, and manage NFTs seamlessly like a walk in the park!
How we built it:
Hedera APIs manage NFTs, Voiceflow API builds the chatbot, TensorFlow and Keras power the CNN model for facial recognition. React-speech kit handles speech recognition, while Next.js and Tailwind enhance UI/UX. Flask and Express create scalable endpoints and handle our backend.
Challenges we ran into:
We really struggled with figuring out how blockchain verification and authentication work to implement the minting and selling of NFTs, but thanks to the seamless Hedera API it was easier. We also spent a lot of time on training the CNN model to make sure it can accurately verify faces(current accuracy of 76%) and building it from scratch and collecting a clean dataset. Finally, one of our team members had to leave early because of a medical condition, so we had to power through that, but overall the experience was extremely rewarding and fun!
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
Implementing this in such a short time frame over the weekend is a great feat we're genuinely proud of, especially given our team size of 3. We learned A LOT about blockchain verification, ML, and using APIs and flask in general!
What's next for VoiceMintify:
1- One of our biggest goals is to help decrease the bandwidth and barriers that better serve humanity. We believe that by providing features such as speech recognition to talk to the chatbot and face recognition instead of having to type passcodes, we allow unleash human creativity on a whole new level!
2- Dealing with blockchains is very complex, and we hope that we keep improving the user-friendliness of our product and provide an abstraction layer so that dealing with blockchains is more intuitive and accessible than ever!
3- Reach as many users as possible by integrating our product with other platforms like Facebook and Instagram
4- expand to other areas of the blockchain landscape like royalty-based systems, smart contracts, and cryptocurrency trading!
