Inspiration

Summer is the time for some fun, like going for a walk, visiting different countries, but the most important is spending time with friends, people who are on the second place after family. As we know, teenagers aren’t able to meet each other because their friends usually go on holidays in other countries, so they stay at home and sit in front of the computer playing games every day. Also there are hundreds of restaurants, banks, department stores in each city. However, there are no places for young people to kill their time or spend it with friends. That’s why we decided to create a website that gives an opportunity to chat with video. This will help teens not to feel lonely and relax with music turned on.

What it does

This is a website that helps people, especially teenagers, who want to meet their friends online as most of them are on holidays in other countries. It’s possible to have a talk with them using video chat. If you’re interested in having a party, but it’s unreal because of the hundreds of kilometers between, we have a solution. There is a music player that is built in and gives the opportunity to choose some summer songs and have fun.

How we built it

There are two designers in our team. They made desktop and mobile designs in Figma, so it’s comfortable to use not only for people who prefer laptops or PC, but also for those that would rather use our website in mobile version. Other teammates were working with HTML, CSS, JS and Agora to develop the website and make it functional.

Challenges we ran into

Some team members were in different time zones, so sometimes it was difficult to communicate over the weekend. Despite this fact we tried to make the most of the time that was given. Moreover, it was the first time working with CSS and Agora and exploring their possibilities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a place that can help people see their relatives, friends that are far away from them. Teenagers can enjoy the summer despite diseases or other events happening in their life.
We’re proud of working together and having fun during FreyHacks. It was great time learning new skills and improving them.

What we learned

In the process of making our project some of the team members learnt the basics of CSS and HTML. Also it was a great experience to work in Figma. We also learnt how to manage your time to be able to do many things.

What's next for vwithmusic

We would like to add chat to the website, so people can communicate not only with video, but also like in the normal messenger. We also have an idea to combine music player and video chat to make it possible to listen to songs together.
