First of all, we were amused by all the thing that we were offered to use in our hack, especially hardware such as Oculus Rift, that we had always wished to try. The opportunity arose, and we would not let it pass by untouched. At this point we decided that we would use Oculus Rift and one of the alternate forms of Human-Computer Interraction that were offered. Among the possibilities, after a quick amount of research, we chose Myo for the easyness of use. Since we were going to use Oculus Rift and alternative input, we decided that the best way of doing this would be through a game. The concept we tried to implement was the idea of a runner in which you dont controll the trajectory of the player, but the enviornment. For example, instead of moving around an obstacle you move the obstacle out of the way. We thought that we would be able to implement the general concept by 22h, and would work on our other ideas after the first working version. We were terribly wrong. After nearly double the time we had expected and more caffeine than we would like to admit, we finnally had a working version, but with a couple of issues. The most saddening being the fact that Oculus Rift and Myo did not interact well together in the project, so Myo would sometimes not properly work with oculus in the project :`( . The issue seems to be relatively easily solvable, but we did not have the time to solve it, since we preferred to implement the mechanics using myo. Also we could not implement other ideas such as enemies being generated ad hoc based on stocks values got from bloomberg, and some simple in-game purchases using Braintree. We could not do that because actually learning how to use both hardwares and integrating them with the enviornment was really time-consuming, so we had few time to actually have the game working and do some tuning.
