Inspiration
Inspiration came from our team recognizing the helpfulness of such a service. We thought of this idea, and after realizing its potential usefulness, decided to make it our project.
What it does
It keeps track of the events and tasks you must attend to in your day. This allows you to see, visually, the responsibilities you must attend to and manage accordingly.
How we built it
We built it using HTML, CSS, and JS. We stored the events locally, using the browser's "localStorage".
Challenges we ran into
A major challenge was our original, over-ambitious idea of a cloud database for a small project. However, due to a lack of resources, we were unable to implement such a database and had to resort to using localStorage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of our graphics, as we had to overhaul it many times over due to our lack of experience.
What we learned
With this project many of us have gained more experience in web development, and also the importance of planning prior to a project.
What's next for WorkScheduler
We believe, with further refinement, the project and realize its full potential as a full calendar and work manager.
