Inspiration
Will Wood is one of my favorite artists, and I was inspired by his lyrically dense songs and extensive vocabulary to create this project.
What it does
WWWordle is a Wordle clone (forked from this existing repo), where the solutions are 5-letter words taken directly from Will Wood’s lyrics.
How I built it
The application is built with React, Typescript, and Tailwind. I used Python and the LyricsGenius library (a Python client for the Genius.com API) to grab and clean the lyric data.
What I learned
All of the heavy lifting was bypassed by forking, but I learned how to deploy a project to the cloud using Linode!
What's next for WWWordle
In the future, I’d like to be able to tie words to the songs they came from in order to display their Spotify links after a game is completed.
