Okay, so we all know that with me it is feast or famine when it comes to blogging. (Actually I find that is how a lot of my life is) Anyway, I do have a good excuse for not blogging... our computer is crazy. It will not let me download any more pictures on it. So we did just put all of my pictures on CDs and also onto the kid's computer so hopefully I will be able to catch up soon. It does seem like life has been crazy, so time for blogging has not been found. Then again, aren't all of our lives crazy?! Hope to be blogging with pictures again soon!

Ky's First Day of School
Kyson started school this past Monday. The day starts with him telling me that he is not going to let me take pictures of him. "Come on mom!!!"
He is so independent when it comes to school. I walked him to the playground to line up on his "dot". He told me that I didn't have to, but of course I needed to do it for me. Then when it was time for him to walk to class he was eager to go. I have to admit that it has been weird having him gone all day. It is a LONG day! Kyson has actually missed his free time to "play". But I think he is really going to enjoy this year.
I am learning that it doesn't take long for kids to get embarrassed by mom...
Kyson took cold lunch only 2 times this week (luckily he is still young enough to get excited about eating hot lunch :) ). Anyway, the 2nd time he took lunch he didn't pack a drink because he likes to get milk from the lunchroom. However, you have to take a quarter to buy milk, but unfortunaltely he forgot his quarter to buy his milk and I did not have one bit of change with me. So, I told him that I would bring it back for him so he would be sure to have a drink for lunch. I put it in an envelope and of course had to add a cute little note from mom. Later that night I am asking him if he got my note. To which he responds, "Yeah mom, but I had to hide it from everyone else to read it." I asked him why, and he says, "Because you just can't let your friends see things like that." Oh, my heart!!! He is honestly such a fun boy to have around! I love seeing him grow!

Standing in line, waiting for the bell to ring.
This is the best smile I could get from him for the camera all day!!!

Funny Conversations!
Today I am in the kitchen with Tylee and the following conversation takes place...
Mom: "Tylee, will you please move that stool? I have got to sweep this floor."
Tylee: "Mom, you sound just like Cinderella! She always has to sweep the floor!"
Mom: "Oh, is that right?"
Tylee: "Looks like your favorite princess today is Cinderella! It must be one of those cleaning days!"
Then later on we were walking some eggs to my friend Ana's house. Tylee was on her bike and wanted me to race her. So I start running after her. She suddenly comes to a stop and turns to me and says, "Mom, did you have one of your energy drinks this morning?" I say, "no, why?" Tylee replys, "Because you sure are doing a good job at keeping up with me today!"
I love my kids! They bring so much joy to my life!

Happy 4th Birthday Tylee LaRae!!!
I absolutely cannot believe that Tylee is 4 years old! She turned 4 on August 23rd. When I was a little girl I would think about what it would be like to be a mom when I "grew up". Of course I would picture having my own little girl one day (it was always girls and I think that is because I always had little girl dolls). Anyway, I have been blessed to have the daughter of my dreams! In fact I now have 2 of them. But today I am thinking of Tylee and her special spirit. Tylee is everything I ever wanted in a daughter. She is so full of personality! She is tender hearted and loves to be cuddled by mom. She has always been my little "angel" from heaven. My Heavenly Father knew that I needed her in my life at the time she was born. And even as an infant Tylee seemed to recognize what I needed each day. She is such a joy in our home. She was given the middle name LaRae after my grandma whom I never met. She died when my mom was only 14 years old. I have always thought of my grandma LaRae as my guardian angel, and ironically, Tylee was actually due to be born on her birthday. I am so priviledged to be trusted to raise this amazing daughter of my Heavenly Father's.
On the lighter side... this year Tylee wanted nothing other than a Hannah Montana birthday! I may be crazy, but I think this is a little crazy coming from a 4 year old. But what do we moms do? ... exactly what our kids want of course! (okay not all the time, but this time I did) Anyway, we had a Hannah Montana party and it was way fun! The girls colored their own Hannah pillowcases while the boys worked on model cars. Then we cranked up the music and everyone danced and sang their little hearts out! We had a Hannah pinata and of course a Hannah birthday cake. It was a great day!
Tylee got lots of fun things. Her 2 favorite had to be the Hannah Montana Barbie from Kyson. It sings and talks. The other hit of the day was a card that came in the mail. It was from Grandma and Grandpa in Texas (that is what my kids call them). You will see a small video clip of Tylee with it. Let me just tell you that I am looking forward to the day when both of these "prized" posessions run out of batteries. :)

Tylee with her precious card

A wonderful candid moment!... until I got caught! It didn't seem to stop her though.
Can I just say that this was repeated several times over and over that day!!!

Oh so gross, yet so cute!
Taya has now found her nose, or should I say nostrils? She loves to put her fingers up her nose. So the other morning she was finished with breakfast and put her fingers in her nose. She then says "mommy!" It came out with the nasaly (is that a word?) sound, which she found hilarious, so she said it over and over laughing the entire time. I just had to get a picture of it! I cannot believe I had time to get the camera and take the picture before she got her fingers out. I know she is going to thank me one day for this picture!!!

Babysitter Sleepover
This summer I told all of my babysitters that we would have a sleepover at my house. So last week we had 6 girls over. It was way fun! My kids loved it! We did pedicures, and Kyson let us give his feet a bath! I was teasing him that I was going to paint his toenails too! Let's just say that Kyson was pretty excited when his dad got home at 9:00 to take him to rent an XBox game! He was a good sport! Tylee of course was in heaven! She loves being with the big girls! Taya was asleep throughout the evening. Only 3 girls slept over, and we stayed up until 1:00AM. The next morning Dave made yummy pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast. And I made orange julius! It was delicious!!! Can I just say that I have the BEST babysitters ever!!! In fact, my kids will ask us when we are going to go somewhere so they can play with the babysitter! I love it!
Kyson's "foot bath"
Tylee's turn :)

Tylee wanted to "buff" some nails too.

Water Day!

It has been soooooooo hot this summer! Thank heavens that we can go play with the water in the backyard!!! I am so grateful for my husband and my beautiful grass!!! My kids love being outside whenever they can. In fact, I have to keep the blinds to my back sliding door closed or Taya says "outside mama" over and over again!

Our little Taya!

Okay, I am trying to journal more and do better, so I have to post this story. I have to start by saying that Taya is talking so much. I absolutely love it! Well, she has really started this thing with saying prayer. Well yesterday after the sacrament prayers she yells "AMEN". Of course it was testimony meeting so we got a whole lot of "AMEN"s yelled, after each testimony in fact! It really was the cutest thing, but we did get quite a few looks throughout the meeting!

Just a few mishaps
I had to post these pictures of our little mishaps. They were 2 days apart.
One night as Tylee was getting out of the bath, she slipped and hit her chin on the side of the tub. Her teeth went through her tongue. It was pretty gross. I cannot believe how much it bled, and how long it took to heal. She was pretty brave I must admit!
Then there is Taya...2 days later, Dave is at the movie and all of a sudden I hear Taya start crying. She had slipped and hit her mouth on the tile. So I had more blood... and lots of swelling!

Kyson, My Baseball Star!

As much as I love seeing Tylee dance, I absolutely love having a little athlete in the family. Kyson did coach pitch baseball this Spring. He did great! It was way fun going to the games. Of course his biggest fans are Tylee & Taya!

Tylee's Dance
Okay, so I have been waiting forever to have a little girl in dance! Tylee was finally old enough this past year. They did their dance to the song "How much is that doggie in the window?". It was so fun to go to the recital and watch her up on the stage. They do not allow us to take cameras into the recital (I think it is just another way to get my $$). But I did get some still shots outside of the recital.

Feast or Famine
Okay! Okay! I know... It is always feast or famine with me when it comes to blogging. It has been way too long since I have posted. I could say life has been crazy lately... but my life seems to always be crazy! Kyson is in year round school, so our summer officially started July 17th. Before then however, I was trying to balance summer activities with Tylee at the same time as end of year activities with Kyson. Anyway, be prepared for a long posting of pictures. There really have been some great things that have happened since May. (I am so embarrassed that it was that long ago)!

Fire station Tour
This past week Tylee's little preschool class went to the fire station. It was the best field trip to a fire station I have ever been on. The firefighters were so awesome! They let the kids touch EVERYTHING! They even hooked their hose up to the hydrant outside and let the kids spray the water. Tylee had the best time! She has an amazing teacher!
Tylee in the firefighter's coat. It is longer than she is!!!

My Best Helper

Okay, I seriously have such a great little boy! Yes, he has his moments for sure... but all in all he is pretty awesome! He is the best helper around my house. He has his chores, and he has been begging me to let him vacuum, so I finally let him. He did a pretty good job I must say! I had to get his picture because he is just so dang cute!!!

Father Son Camp-Out
Okay a couple of weeks ago Ky and Dave had the "father/son" camp-out. Well, a group of us moms have started a little tradition of our own by having a girl's sleepover. We took 11 little girls out to eat at BJs and enjoyed the best dessert ever (the Pazookie)!!! The girls all shared the "giant" one and absolutely loved it! Then we came back to my house where the older girls pampered the younger ones. They did their hair and make-up, then had a pajama fashion show. Needless to say, Tylee was in heaven!!! She loved every minute of it. It was lots of fun!

Happy Mother's Day!

Okay, so Mother's Day this year was a little different for me. Dave actually was out of town :( My kids however, made it great! Kyson was working all week on an extra special gift for me. It was so cute to see him being so secretive! He made the coolest hand print at school (not pictured), and then made his own gift for me at home. As you can see in the picture, he had wrapped the present with an envelope on top and an opened, half gone, pack of gum. When I opened the package it was our pink hand mirror that we have had for years. In the envelope was the priceless hand made card. Kyson is such a sweet boy! I love him so much! Tylee also made the neatest thing at school this week for me. Her preschool teacher is amazing. She took Tylee's picture and then asked her questions about her mother. She typed all of the questions and answers and printed them on cardstock, then put her picture in the center. It is awesome! So even though Dave was/is gone, I guess I cannot complain about my "special" day. It was great!!!

HOLY $@%# !!!
Okay, today one of my worst nightmares came true! I do not have a photo because I had to get it cleaned up ASAP! I layed Taya down for her morning nap, and around 12:00 I heard her (through the monitor) talking. I thought, "I am going to go get her right now so she will go back down by 2:00". As I approach her room I smell "the smell"! I open the door, and ...
there sits Taya in her crib, the diaper on the floor, (outside of the crib), and poop all over the crib, her hands, and yes her mouth! It was so disgusting!!! I grabbed her and immediately started scrubbing her tongue! I put her in the tub and went to work! I grabbed the toothbrush and brushed her teeth, gums, cheeks, EVERYTHING!!! It was absolutely one of the grossest things ever! My other kids have "experimented" with touching their poop, but I have never had one actually put it into their mouth! So, I am sorry if I offended anyone by this title, but it was absolutely the only way to put it!!! Oh the joys of motherhood! :)

Girly Girls!
So the other day I am dropping off Kyson's friend after kindergarten and got out of the car for literally 1 minute to talk to his mom. When I return this is the sight I saw! Tylee had found my lip gloss and was "sharing" it with Taya. The best part of the whole thing is that Taya sat still the entire time.
