New York was an AMAZING experience for me it was totally culture shock and so different from Utah!! I had such a blast and learned so much in my classes to help me be more creative in teaching and coloring clients hair differntly! We got back a week ago and we were there for four days. 3 days we were in class all day from 9-5 and that time just flew by! I hope I get to go back someday because we didn't really have a lot of time to sight see, But we did get to ground zero, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and Grand Central station. So it was really fun. I hope everyone gets to visit there someday it was such a neat place!! Beware of the Cab drivers though cuz I almost had a heart attack! LOL

So we are so lucky we got to have Noelle and Manu's family come down from Arizona and Tahiti last week to spend some time in Utah for the 24th Pioneer Day holiday. It was so fun we got to have a BBQ on Tuesday when they came home, Go to the Zoo on Wednesday, and parade on Thursday...I know Busy Busy Busy!!!

Here is some pictures of The Mauri's, and Manu's family. I got to learn so French words while visiting. Sonya, Manu's sister doesn't speak any english so body language is about all that we could communicate and having Noelle and Manu help a little bit. It was fun to hear a different language then our own for such a long period of time. And let me tell you, Body language is 80% of how we communicate!!

I am so happy it is so close to being done...My home salon that is. It has taken 3 years for us to get stuff together to put this project together. It feels like we have accomplished a lot!! So here is some more pics, We still need to do custom countertops, put the fishtank above the cabinets, paint the laundry doors and add some decorations!! Yeahhhhhh almost done!! I also want to thank my wonderful husband for all that he does for our family and me!! He sacrificed his whole week long vacation to do all these house projects!!

Sunday we were so fortunate to be able to go visit my grandparents up in Oakley, It was such a beautiful day up there, 80 degree weather!! Working so much we haven't been up there in a long time. We got to spend the day and Kolby got to bond with his Great-Grandparents, We ate really delicious food, chatted and Kolby even went fishing for the first time. He practiced by fishing on the deck onto the grass and that entertained him for quite some time, then DJ helped my grandpa put the boat together and hook it to the truck and headed out for Rockport and the second my grandpa put his line in the water he caught a fish! It was so funny the look on Kolby's face when the fish was flopping around in the boat, I think he was trying to figure out why the fish wasn't in the water and in the boat instead!:) So cute how little kids minds work. But what a fun day out of the City!!

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for such a wonderful time!!
