About Me
Hello! My name is Lisa and I’m proud to say I finally earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice). I’m also an avid reader and writer, having done both since before kindergarten! It is my not-so-secret aspiration to publish a book someday, so this blog is a way for me to improve my writing skills. Above all though, this blog is a happy combination of my most favorite things in life: Reading, Writing, and The Sims.
About This Blog
Different Winters is a Differences in the Family Tree ChallengeΒ story. It is a fifteen generation challenge that takes one through a differing array of gameplay options: From playing as a simple farmer, to climbing the corporate ladder, to chasing down criminals, and so on and so forth. Each generation also has a list of specific objectives to accomplish, such as mastering certain skills, topping careers, and sometimes even how many children or enemies you have.Β It is a great way to explore numerous aspects of what The Sims 3 has to offer, so that’s why I chose to take on this challenge π
Different Winters was started on March 12th, 2011, when I was in my last semester at college obtaining my Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Anthropology. Due to major moves, career changes, and the general overwhelming chaos that life can sometimes bring I completely disappeared from this blog after a post in November 2012 and remained missing in action until July 2014. Thus, I am not as far along as you might imagine given how many years it’s been, but I’ve been going strong since my return and have absolutely no intention of stopping again. No matter what happens in the future, I hope to see this blog through to the end, even if it takes another 4-5 years to do it! XD

Whether you’re a reader from the very beginning, or are just discovering this blog now, know that I appreciate your readership more than anything! Although I write for myself and because I love it, the fact of the matter is that my readers fuel my inspiration. That being said, definitely don’t be a stranger!
