it is incredibly important to know when people die
especially when they're someone as important and intriguing as gerald ford, who none of us had totally forgotten about these last 30 years. i especially like to know the most intimate details of their stupid hobbies and personality traits. oh, and please reassure me that they were a fine and decent human being. whether they were or not. i mean they're dead. respect for the dead means saying they were a good person right?
i guess the moral is- anyone can be beautiful and wonderful and free of flaws once they're dead. except maybe serial killers. but it does hold true for mass murderers. i guarantee that when, say, henry kissinger dies, there will be just as many if not more people creaming their pants over what a great person he was.
