| Anyone have experience with macromedia director? |
[05 Dec 2003|09:41am] |
You see this year for christmas I'm making a video cd. Basically I took a bunch of mp3's and merged them into a single mp3.Next I grabbed a bunch of christmas wallpapers so I could make the scenery change every minute. Now after doing that I loaded up macromedia director and put the pictures on the score along with the mp3 in the audio score section. Now I go to file and then extract to convert it to an avi. It asks me which encoder I want to use. This is where I'm stuck. I tried the DIVX 5 codec however after it finishes creating the avi...it shows my task bar in the actual movie when I play it back >_<. Is there a better codec to use, or if not , perhaps an option I forgot to select when encoding the movie I'm making?
Thanks for your help :)

Wow! Im pumping out another one allready. This would be my 2nd atemp at somthing like this, but it came out well. This fine peice of art I call decrypted. I spent most of last night working on it, estimating around 6 or 7 hours to complete. When I start working on an art project, painting it and all, I totaly lose track of everything else, and go into this deep zen mode. I can not stop untill I am finished. Be sure to give me some input on it please, I wanna know how I did :)

Scary Huh!

Hey all, new guy here. Got a question for anyone who might know.
One of the things I have on my web site is a font archive. It's humble, but growing steadily. So far I've been updating the pages manually, and now it's getting to be a pain in the neck. So I want to automate it in some way.
I've managed to put together an Access database of all the fonts, with the full name of the font, the letter of the alphabet it starts with (which is how the pages will be broken up), and the filename. The thing I need to figure out now is how to get the data out of the database and into the HTML page. I tried doing it entirely through FrontPage, but my web page host doesn't support ASP (which I don't know a hell of a lot about to begin with). Any suggestions? Thanks.

| intro and help needed |

Hi all,
I can tell you first off that I'm no designer. I'm a programmer who's trying to design and I'm not having much success.
Any suggestions on what to do for this website I'm designing would be greatly appreciated. Like what shades should I use and what kinds of design would fit it.
This is what I had at first. I tried to add lines and bars and stuff and this is the result. As you can see, I feel I've made it worse.
Everything can be scrapped, all that needs to remain unchanged is the logo and I'm having a hard time designing around it. Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated. Good or bad. I need help badly.

Hello to all.
Anyone care to offer a little critique on a site I'm doing? it's all Flash, for those who are interested. There are still some things that will be changing, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.
