Danish Data Science Academy

DDSA's purpose is to bring together and strengthen the many stakeholders at the Danish universities, health technology and business. The academy focuses on strengthening data science as an independent discipline and on strengthening collaboration that exploits new digital technologies for the benefit of society in a broad sense. DDSA has a total grant of DKK 184.3 million from the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the VILLUM FOUNDATION.

The National Center for AI in society

CAISA is a national consortium that brings together researchers from the University of Copenhagen, Aalborg University, Aarhus University, the IT University of Copenhagen, and DTU in close collaboration with the Pioneer Centre for AI (P1). As Denmark’s independent research center for artificial intelligence in society, CAISA places citizens at the core. CAISA is funded for a three-year pilot period with 20 million DKK from the Ministry of Digitalization and 30 million DKK from the national research reserve.

Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence

The purpose is to bring Denmark at the forefront of human-centric artificial intelligence. The centre conducts world-class basic research and develops new platforms, methods and practices. The University of Copenhagen acts as host and administrator, while researchers from the Technical University of Denmark, the IT University, Aalborg University and Aarhus University act as co-leads. The centre has a grant of DKK 352 million from the Danish National Research Foundation.

ADD – Algorithms, Data and Democracy

The ADD project aims to make digital development work for democratic legitimacy through research, enhanced public understanding of technologies, policy recommendations, and dialogue. The project investigates what algorithms are, what they do for us and to us, and whether we can trust them. The project is funded by the Villum and Velux Foundations, and the think tank Mandag Morgen is in charge of the information and dialogue efforts, while Roskilde University heads the project's research consortium.

The Danish ICT Industry Association is a professional organization for companies within information technology, the Internet, new digital media, telecommunications, electronics and document solutions. The association has over 800 members and is the largest professional organization within this workfield in Denmark.
