I haven't posted in a while but a lot has been happening. I bought a car, it's been at the garage for three months slowly getting fixed. It should be done soon. YAY!
Also, I got my own place! They're still in the paperwork processing process right now but within the next few weeks I should be in my new place! I can't wait. Because I'm a virgo and a type A personality I have lists. Lists for everything. I've been slowly checking things off for my apartment but there's still a lot of things I need. I have help, which is great, plus a student loan coming in a few weeks so I should be all set. :)

New Obsession
Mar. 11th, 2013 04:57 pm I am like weirdly invested in Shameless (US) at the moment. I don't even watch the damn show but I devoured all the Ian/Mickey fic on Ao3. I was intrigued by a GIFset on Tumblr some time ago - did some research and watched a bunch of YouTube vids so I know who everyone is and some of the highlights of our boy's relationship - and them Episode 3.06 six happened and I needed some happy endings STAT - hence the devouring of ficcage.
There needs to be more. To be quite honest, I've thought about braving FF.net but frankly, I like stories with lots of porn AND plot and you usually only find one or the other on that archive and you have to slog through some pretty horrible shit to find even those. Maybe LJ or even DW has a community or two?
I've even resorted to trying to write my own fic, which If you know me at all - you know doesn't happen that often.

Super into Hockey right now. The Pittsburgh Penguins are my team, you just can't beat the Malkin/Crosby duo. It's so weird because I only know who these dudes are through RPF, LOL. But I'm finding I really love the game and I'm loving a lot of guys on the team. Sutter is doing pretty well I think, same with Letang and Fluery and Vokun is doing ok.
They're 2-1 so far with another game tonight against Winnipeg so we'll see how it goes.

Bookmarking Update

I still wanted to let everyone know that I've deleted both my Diigo and my Delicious accounts. I now only use Pinboard. The link to which is on my links sidebar. After Diigo crashed I went searching for a new site. I hate Delicious with a fiery passion but Diigo has a linked feature which meant when I updated Diigo my Delicious was automatically updated as well. Pinboard doesn't have this option. Since I paid for it though, I decided to just get rid of the other ones.
For the record I really liked Diigo. The add-on for Chrome worked magnificently. I panicked, I admit, when the site went down and had already paid and exported all my bookmarks by the time I realized it would be back. And since, as I said before, I paid for Pinboard, I decided to just use that one.
Not that you probably care, LOL. But I know a couple of people on my flist like to use my bookmarks for reference, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. All my bookmarks can be found on the Pinboard site.

Simba (My Kitty)
Sep. 19th, 2012 09:24 pm I have a yellow haired Persian/mainecoon mix. He does have long hair as well so I brush him at least once a week. He is an indoor cat, so he doesn't get dirty as such. I try to do it several times a week but sometimes he just won't have it so…ya know. Tonight was a good night. He rolled over on command so I could get his belly and as a reward I gave him a little milk as an after dinner snack. He was very pleased. He is my baby. I don’t have any kids (am not sure I want any) but my Simba is my little man. I spoil him because of it, but he’s not overweight (which is a concern for indoor cats), he's well behaved, he’s clean and he’s well fed. He gets milk once or twice a week and canned mixed with his dry once a day. And I always buy his favorite dry food (Friskies Seafood) whether I have to scrape pennies or not. He has a sensitive digestive system because of his mixed heritage so when I found a brand he liked – that didn't make him sick- I kept at it. Once in a while, for variation I buy a different flavor – but always Friskies. He really likes surf and turf, too. 
I tried Fancy Feast moist this week. He seemed to like it so another to add to the list for something different once in a while.
