DECOMPRESSION
WELCOME TO YOUR TECH DIVING ADVENTURE
The Decompression course is your entry point into technical diving, The RAID Way™. It is part of our redesigned Open Circuit courses that take divers beyond recreational scuba diving’s traditional NDL time limits, giving access to more bottom time and the beginning steps into staged decompression diving.
REASONS TO TAKE THIS COURSE
- While there are many definitions of what technical diving is, the consensus is that it begins when one plans staged decompression dives, and accepts the added risks, responsibilities, and vagaries of decompression stress. This RAID program is a three-cylinder course in which sidemount or twinset divers learn how to carry one cylinder of decompression gas (up to and including 100 percent oxygen). Available to 40 metres max depth using air and nitrox, 45 metres air and nitrox, or 45 metres air, nitrox, trimix.40 metres air and nitrox | 45 metres air, nitrox | 45 metres air, nitrox, trimix,
SKILLS (WHAT YOU’LL LEARN)
The primary focus of this course is equipment management, decompression planning, and incorporating advanced communications and contingency planning into dive operations. As always in RAID programs, safety and developing a solid platform of performance and comfort based on gear selection and management, trim, buoyancy, and propulsion.
OUTCOME
While this course is an achievement in itself, it also serves as preparation to prepare the diver to go forward along our Tech Pathway and be part of advanced operations and expeditions.
