What's Bug'n Me?

I believe that GOOD FRIENDS will HELP you choose the right! They'll HELP you to be a better person... Good friends will TELL you when you're going down the WRONG path.

Good friends HELP you get back on track. They help you choose the right so you can feel MORE of GOD'S love, spirit, peace, acceptance, and blessings.

Growing up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Yucca Valley California was HARD. I had no LDS friends my age... In fact NONE of my friends even knew what a "Mormon" was. Every standard set forth by the Lord was just WEIRD to my peers. My friends parents bought drugs and boo's FOR THEIR KIDS to party, and often did it WITH them. My best friend was hospitalized for a METH overdose that almost killed her when she was 15, and died in a car accident by age 16.

I thought that living in a place like Utah, Idaho, or Arizona would be SOOO much better... I'd have lots of friends who LIVED what they believed, and who would make it easier for me, and more importantly for my children, to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. For the most part it has been.

BUT something's been BUG'N me for a long time...

We learn as YOUTH that our body is a GIFT from GOD... A TEMPLE.

I've been discouraged, almost offended, by sisters WHO I LOVE that just don't live what they know is right. Wearing immodest exercise clothes, and SWIM SUITS, to the grocery store, Dr.'s offices, friends houses, the lake, and the park, and anywhere else - except church.

It's hard enough to teach your daughters (or any young women) to love and dress modesty. It's MUCH HARDER when they see FAMILY and GOOD members of the church (who have been sealed in the Temple) wearing bikini's, tank tops, and short shorts casually out in public...

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? … The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
1 Corinthians 3:16–17

"Never lower your standards of dress. Do not use a special occasion as an excuse to be immodest. When you dress immodestly, you send a message that is contrary to your identity as a son or daughter of God. You also send the message that you are using your body to get attention and approval." - For the Strength of Youth
You would think that the huge PORN problem, effecting so many LDS men, would motivate women to be more concerned with MODESTY... That they wouldn't want other men to look at them inappropriately; Causing feelings, or temptations, contrary to God's law of chastity. To the contrary, modesty is a HUGE problem among sisters in the church.

Those who oppose Gods standards, and teachings, are LOUD and aggressive.

Satin likes to confuse everyone into thinking that rebellious attitudes, and behavior, is NORMAL and good. He pushes to be accepted by asserting political correctness, and a fear to offend. Satin would have us believe that evil MUST be LOVED and embraced else we be INTOLERANT. His voice is LOUD in school, on social media, in the news, in politics and all the way up to the Supreme Court.

There are so many GOOD, God fearing, people in our country... But they're QUIET... Too quiet. So quiet that their voices get DROWN OUT by LOUD opposition.

Opposers of Righteousness push they're agenda as LOUD as possible...

  • They'll call names when someones stands up for what they believe is right.
  • They'll think (or say) you're stuck up, judgmental, and that you think you're better than others.
  • They'll decree you are a BIGOT - Completely INTOLERANT of others.
  • They don't believe you can actually be Christ-like and LOVE someone that you don't AGREE with.
  • They say, or think, you're a HATEFUL - JUDGMENTAL person.
  • They're CONTENTIOUS and LOVE to ARGUE with you.

Good people get caught in the cross fire, and there are needless casualties in the WAR between good and evil. When NO ONE questions bad behavior, the world will NEVER get BETTER, it becomes darker. But I feel like there is something we can do about it.

Live Like You Believe - Be LOUD - Stand Up for what's RIGHT!

The Man

Image
Darin's been doing Cross Fit for about 6 months, and he's looking smoking hot! I just love seeing those muscles through his shirt!

He does the dishes like every other night, puts a load of laundry in at 5 am, cooks desserts, works all day, serves the Lord in his callings with all his heart, REALLY plays with our kids, tells me I'm beautiful, literally brings home the meat, builds cabinets, installs wood flooring, and painted our entire house.
He leads our family in planting a garden, reading scriptures, and family prayer.

I am blessed... We are blessed!

"God does not begin by asking us about our ability, but about our availability, and if we then prove our dependability, He will increase our capability!"

"I testify that angels are still sent to help us, even as they were sent to help Adam and Eve, to help the prophets, and indeed to help the Savior of the world Himself."
