2 Months Old

Morgan had her 2 month check up yesterday. She weighs 11 lbs 9 oz, and is 23.3" tall! She is growing so much. She also had to get four shots and was not happy. She was really cranky the rest of the day which is very unusual for her, but she is doing a lot better this morning. Here is a sweet picture of her when we finally were able to get her to sleep last night.

White Christmas

For Christmas we went to Utah for a week to spend some time with my family. Morgan did really great on the drive up there and back. It did make for a longer drive since we had to stop every three hours to feed her and change her, but she did sleep the rest of the time. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights

Yesterday we went to see the Christmas lights at the Mesa Temple with Dustin's sister Stephanie and her husband Stephen. We love going to see the lights every year. Morgan slept the whole time which was okay by me.




I love these pictures that Dustin took. We were trying to figure out where the reflection on the star came from and then tonight we realized it was from our UV lense. But I still think it's a really cool picture.

Gingerbread House

This Saturday Dustin's parents had all the grandkids over to build gingerbread houses (plus some of the adults too :)). Here is the gingerbread house that we built. Morgan had a great time also. We had so much fun building the house! And we get to do it again when we go to Utah in a couple weeks.

This is Dustin's 2 year old nephew, Tyson trying to get Morgan out of her car seat. He just loves giving her hugs and kisses when she's around. He is so cute with her.

5 Weeks and Growing!

Morgan had a doctors appointment today, and she has grown!!

Weight: 9 lbs 10 oz (6 lbs 12 oz at birth)

Falling Asleep to the Sound of the Vacuum

Every time I vacuum Morgan has been asleep, and she has never woken up even when I vacuum in the room she's in. Today she didn't want to nap, so I just put her on the couch so I could vacuum. Once I finished vacuuming the living room I checked on her and she was sound asleep!

I guess when she's having a hard time falling asleep instead of playing music I just need to run the vacuum.

Yesterday was Morgan's first day at church, and I just wanted to post this picture because I thought it was so cute.

First Play Date

Yesterday my friend Lauren came over with her son Kaden. Kaden is exactly one week older than Morgan. Kaden and Morgan slept pretty much the whole time they were over, so Lauren and I were able to catch up since we haven't talked much since they were born. Thanks Lauren and Kaden for coming over. Morgan and I can't wait for our next play date :).

Weekend Fun!

This past weekend some of my family came down to see Morgan. My mom flew down on the 29th to help us out and then my dad, my brother Jared, my sister Emily, and her husband Wagner came down on Friday. They all left Sunday morning, so it's been very quiet here during the day with just me and Morgan. It was so nice having them here for such a short time and it was REALLY nice having my mom here for a week and a half. She helped me out a lot (especially with reminding me that I needed to take a nap with Morgan :)). As you can tell from the pictures, Grandpa Geake just couldn't get enough of Morgan!

Our Little Morgan

Here are a few more pictures of Morgan. I had to post the picture of her in her bouncer that my sister Amy got her and the picture of her in the car seat because she is just so tiny compared to them.

I had a newborn outfit to put her in for Halloween, but I realized last night that it was way too big! My friend Laurissa gave me this onesie that says "This is my Little Black Dress", so I figured it would work, and Dustin's Aunt Nylene gave us the Halloween socks. Both are a little big on her, but they work.

Introducing ...............

Morgan Jeanne Willis (pronounced Jean) Born October 27, 2008 @ 6:58pm. She sized up at a whopping 6 pounds 12 ounces, 19.75 inches long, and an 8-9 APGAR. she was such a good and peaceful baby while the doctors and nurses cleaned her up.

Here is a better picture after her first bath. She looks all cozy laying under a heat lamp, which was good that she was because that room was freezing!!!

Baby Update

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I'm only 1 cm dialated, so I'm not progressing much. If the baby doesn't come by Monday, then I'll be induced. So, we'll definitely have a baby by next week! We'll keep everyone updated.

Closet Doors

When we moved here a little over two years ago, the two bedrooms had sliding mirror doors which were very old. So, we decided to take them out and put up new ones once we were settled in. We were going to put them up last December before Katie moved in, but we didn't get a chance. Then we were going to put them in before Abe & Alison came, but didn't have the time. Finally, we decided last week that we just needed to get them in now or it wasn't going to happen. Dustin did the majority of the work on the doors every night when he got home from work. Well, on the few nights that he actually got on home at a decent hour. He worked so hard and they look so great!!

Happy Birthday Dustin!!

Today is Dustin's birthday. He actually took the day off (which he never does for his birthday). Unfortunately, it wasn't to go out and have fun, he was working on getting our closet doors ready to put up in the baby's room and the den. But he did take a break for cake and ice cream. Happy birthday sweetie!

Another Ultrasound

I had another ultrasound last week. I know I said I wouldn't post another picture, but Stephie wanted to see a picture.
We couldn't get a good picture of her face because she had her hand up by her face and no matter what the lady did she wouldn't move it.

Willis Family Reunion

Yesterday was Dustin's family reunion in Snowflake. All of his aunts and uncles were there, so now I have met everyone. We went up on Friday night and stayed at Dustin's parent's house in Show Low with them. On our way to the reunion we stopped to go shooting. I can't remember the name of the place, but people go shooting there and rock climbing. I've only ever shot a BB Gun, so this was my first time shooting a shotgun. Dustin said his shotgun is small compared to what most people have, but it was heavy! We had clay pigeons we were shooting at, but I got nowhere close to actually shooting one. I took about 3 or 4 shots and then I was done.

The reunion was so much fun! We celebrated Dustin's grandma's 80th birthday, also. All the grandkids made cards for her as a surprise. She really enjoyed it. Here's a picture of Dustin's grandma with all 8 of her kids from oldest to youngest (left to right). Dustin's dad is the oldest. It looks like a couple of the great-grandkids decided they wanted to be in the picture :).

Trip to Utah

Dustin and I just got back from Utah to visit my family. We also moved Abe, Alison, Connor, and Tehya back home. It was so much fun having them down here and we already miss them. It's so quiet in our house! I guess that'll only last for another couple months though. I know Dustin will miss playing around with Tehya.


We had such a great time with the family!! My sister Leah just had her second baby boy, Dallin, on Aug. 2nd. He is so adorable! His older brother, Edward, does pretty good with him.

My sister Katie, and Alison threw me a baby shower while we were up there. It was so much fun, and Katie did a great job with the games. It was so much fun with just the girls!

My parents bought a WII. We had so much fun playing it. Actually, Brad and Dustin were really the only ones that played. So what do you think Dustin wants to buy now?... A WII. I'm thinking, no.

3D Ultrasound

I had another ultrasound this morning (I promise this will be the last picture even if I have another ultrasound). This one was actually 3D and it was very cool! Here's one of the pictures. She's even smiling a little :).

More Baby Pictures

Today I had another ultrasound. This now makes a total of 4 ultrasounds I've had. I'm sure some of you are wondering why I've had so many, so I'll just quickly tell you. Some of you know that I had an ectopic (tubal) preganancy last October. Just for safety reasons I needed to get an ultrasound to make sure that this wasn't another ectopic. So, I had my first one at 5 1/2 weeks, but they couldn't see the baby, so I had to go back two weeks later for a second. The one at 18 1/2 weeks was jus the normal routine one. But they didn't get any good pictures of her face because she wouldn't sit still, so my doctor wanted me to go back for another ultrasound. The reason my doctor wanted pictures of the face was to see if she had a cleft lip. If she did, then we could start talking to surgeons now before she was born to get it fixed. It's something my doctor looks for in all ultrasounds and she's only ever seen 2 in the 12 years she's been practicing. So, it was nothing serious, just routine. Since I've had so many ultrasounds I decided to post a picture of each ultrasound because it's pretty cool to see how our baby girl has grown.

This one is at 7 1/2 weeks. Dustin was so worried that we were going to have a worm for a baby. :) Yes, she does look like a worm, but it was really cool because we could already see her heartbeat.
