What is Movemint?

Movemint is a platform designed for athletic events, simplifying the management of event registrations, communication, and results for organizers. It offers features such as waiver signing, donation and merchandise support, volunteer management, and robust communications and marketing tools.

What kind of events does Movemint support?

Movemint supports a wide range of athletic events, including running races, bike races, walk-a-thons, gran fondos, group rides, fundraisers, and more, accommodating events with participants ranging from 10 to over 10,000.

Does Movemint support free and paid events?

Yes, when creating an event on Movemint, organizers can create multiple categories (e.g., 10k, kids race), assigning a price to each or leaving it blank for free categories. To learn more about free and paid events on Movemint, see .

How much does Movemint cost?

Movemint is free for event organizers, generating revenue through a low processing fee added to paid checkouts. To learn more about pricing, see Pricing.

Can I collect donations with Movemint?

Yes, during event creation or editing, organizers can set up donations, adding multiple organizations. Participants are prompted to select a donation amount during checkout but can opt out. This opt-out approach encourages more donations.

Does Movemint collect and remit sales tax?

Yes, Movemint collects and remits sales tax for all events by default.

Can I manage volunteers on Movemint?

Yes, organizers can create multiple volunteer categories, assigning names, descriptions, and volunteer limits to each (e.g., 3 people at the registration tent from 9 am to noon).

How does Movemint work with timers?

Timers can export participant data from Movemint into their scoring software. A beta integration is available to automatically sync participant data with RaceDay Scoring.

How do I upload results?

Movemint has multiple ways of uploading results to an event. See Results for more information.

How do virtual events work?

In virtual events, organizers select a date range and desired Strava segments. Participants complete these segments, and Movemint generates leaderboards for best efforts (lowest time) and most efforts. Multiple segments and sport types can be combined.

Can I add other admins?

Yes, organizers can add multiple event admins, including timers, charity partners, or team members.

Can I send donations directly to my donation partners?

Yes, organizers can assign a payment account to each donation category, directing funds to the respective organization. Can I ask custom questions during registration?

Can I sell merchandise?

Yes, Movemint supports merchandise sales, such as t-shirts and hoodies. Merchandise can be configured with single or multiple options (e.g., sizes).

How do payouts work?

Movemint uses Stripe for payment processing and payouts. After creating the first event, organizers are directed to Stripe to set up payouts, which can be configured to a bank account, card, etc. By default, registration fees are paid out every other day.

How do emails work?

Upon creating an event, organizers gain access to Movemint's email marketing tool, allowing unlimited emails for free. Emails can be sent immediately or scheduled, targeting current participants or specific audiences (e.g., previous year's participants not yet registered).

How do waivers work?

During registration, participants must agree to Movemint's default waiver. Organizers can add their own waiver, requiring participants to agree to both.

How do Strava course maps work?

Movemint integrates with Strava, allowing organizers to attach Strava routes as course maps. After event creation, organizers can connect their Strava account, import routes, and attach them to the event. Participants can then access these routes for training and navigation.

Can I allow athletes to transfers their registration to another athlete?
