Doc Wayne identifies mental health as a human right and that wellbeing encompasses physical movement together with diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. In working to change global systems impacting everyday realities, Doc Wayne is catalyzing a movement to help ensure that all youth have equitable access to effective mental health care.
Doc Wayne provides training, tools, and services that address emotional, behavioral, traumatic, racial, gender, and cultural-based barriers by providing equitable access to better mental health for all. Our clinician-led curricula put sport into practice, strengthening social-emotional skills in young learners to build healthier, more resilient global communities.

Doc Wayne constitutes success by measuring positive changes such as youth beginning to use healthier coping skills, feeling confident to engage in sport and movement, and becoming leaders in their school or community. During the 2021-22 school year, Doc Wayne students self-reported positive change in many key life skills. The tool we use is the Holistic Student Assesment (HSA.)
