Anyone here knows any good hostels in Scotland? Particularly in Glasgow and Edinburgh? eumelkeks maybe? I'm planning on going there at the end of December and especially the prices in Edinburgh are ridiculous. O.o Even in 16 bed dorms it's very expensive (most definitely because of Hogmanay.. but oh well). Any tips?

AWWWW, there's a Kiwi-pub in Berlin!! I definitely have to go there some time. This Friday they're having a Christmas-barbecue, because Kiwis are used to having Christmas in Summer. And the 25. of June is exactly 6 months after (or before.. depends on how you look at it) Christmas. When I was in New Zealand we did the same thing - all the Europeans had a Christmas dinner that day, because it was Winter after all, so we had to have Christmas, right? ^_^ Oh yeah, good times!
Speaking of Kiwis: they just scored again at the World Cup!! So they're not that bad after all.
Yes, I'm basically doing everything to avoid studying.. *whistles*

I'm back from Munich and had a blast!! We didn't do much besides eating and walking around Munich. And when I realized nila_rena had never seen an episode of Doctor Who, I made her watch it. We went through all of series 2 this weekend. ^_^ Amazing times!! I almost got stranded in Bamberg on my journey back home though, but I managed to catch my train in the end. *phew*
And now I need to pimp some stuff..
First of all.. go join this com. It's fun!

I'm all packed and ready to go to Munich tomorrow and visit nila_rena. *whee* Thank god I don't have to drive my dad to Halle tomorrow too (he needs to go to the hospital and maybe get operated on his hand). But he'll drive himself now and we'll have to see how long he has to stay and if he's allowed to drive afterwards.
So, this is goodbye for now.. I can't wait to get to Munich!!and away from my suicidal internet connection *kicks it*

My internet connection is really wonky for a few days now. It works for some time (sometimes hours, sometimes mere minutes) and then it dies again. THAT'S REALLY ANNOYING!! I still wasn't able to listen to John Barrowman on the Chris Moyles radio show because of that.. apparently he talked a lot about his new album and appearing in Desperate Housewives. If only I would get my internet to work long enough. *grumbles* If any one else is interested, you can listen to it here. There is also a nice picture of John and Chris.

I never thought that would really happen. Might be interesting to see him in something completely different though. We'll see.

Ooooooooh, I just read about John Barrowman's new album getting released on February 22nd. But that's not the only amazing news.. Apparently he recorded a special version of one of my favourite songs "The Wizard and I" (from the musical Wicked). It's called "The Doctor and I" and is about Captain Jack's relationship with Doctor Who!!!! *SQUEEEE* OMG, I can't wait to hear that. 
(Too bad it will be an iTunes exclusive and won't be on the actual CD.)
edit: Apparently I lived under a rock.. he sang that song before and I've never even heard of it before tonight. O.o I'm still really excited about it and can't wait to hear the official recorded version.

Heya everybody.. Happy New Year to all of you!!
I haven't checked LJ for over a week. Had a friend over for a few days and wasn't really online at all. Had a little birthday party last Monday and we visitedmiffmiff the next day. We watched weird shark horror movies (like Shark Attack 3 with John Barrowman and Hai-Alarm auf Mallorca *coughs*) and drank and ate a lot. Didn't do much on New Year's Eve either. Just played cards with the parents, watched the fireworks from the balcony and then we watched Doctor Who. Boring, I know. Will do better next this year.. hopefully my current plans to go to Glasgow will work out. ^_^
I think I'll watch the last episode of Gavin & Stacey now and then go to bed. Will be commenting tomorrow. Hope you guys had a lovely New Year's too!

I was finally productive and decorated our Christmas tree today. I usually do this on the 24th, but I won't have the time tomorrow.. The parents have to work, so it's my job to bake a cake (which has to be awesome, I've been told *sighs*), make lunch and prepare everything for the big Christmas dinner. Oh well.. wanna see the stunning result of my hard work today? ^_^
