9:45 am - A few days late...
|
Last Saturday tera, heidi, and myself took rory to the sterling ren fair. This is Rory's third year going and she had a ball. The people at the costume rental place remembered the lil princess and got her suited up in this beautiful blue and white dress. They woman was trying to get Rory to go to Queen Elizabeth and say hello mom because of the red hair similarity. Rory was a little shy on that idea. Besides we never ran in to the Queen. Oh well. Rory rode on one of the horses and had a blast. She rode a few of the rides and enjoyed them.
Tera rented a costume and I wore my kilt. I want to expand my garb sadly. I have the full outfit but I want to get a second shirt. I saw a black linen shirt that would go great with my kilt. It would also match the other kilt I have been wanting to buy that is a casual kilt that is just "strap on and go style". The shirt is 100 bucks though so I have to hold on it for now.
Tera made a timeline photo of Rory of three different pictures from all three years. It is so cool. I need to ask her for a copy of it. Also I need the pictures from this year.
Next weekend we are going to the Sterling Celtic Rock Festival. Rory is so excited to see Enter the Haggis. She takes after her mommy and daddy with her taste in music. A few other bands I know are playing so yay!
I wonder if wolfstone kilt makers are going to stick around for a extra week for the celtic rock fest. I was originally not planning on wearing my kilt but it might be fun. Hmmmm... wear it with my haggis shirt.

I am chilling out at the neurologists office waiting for my appt. I wore sandals this morn but I really wish I wore sneakers and had my ipod. If I did I would seriously walk home afterwards. The office is out on west road by the murray center but I could use a walk.
Oh well we will see how my apt goes.

So I m at work. I can deal with that. I guess. I really just want to be home playing guitar. Playing sweet home alabama, jimi thing, its been a while, outside, rooster, and every rose has a thorn. I just wanna play. Not be sitting here bored. Oh well.
Talked to maggie earlier which was cool. Miss her. I don't really have a social life and with the stanley cup starting last night it reminded me of going to cornell hockey games with her.
Now I am watching the isle of wright concert jimi hendrix played way back when. My consumer is a big music fan which can cool.
My battery on my phone is dieing so I will go for now.

So Rory has turned three. I am sitting here at work reflecting on the glorious times we have had so far. She has made life really worth it. Funny but not funny. Rory was sickoid to the max last night in the middle of the night barfing up hot dog chunks. Poor tera had to deal with it all while I was conked out at my place. No that is not the funny part. What makes me laugh is just remembering two thanksgivings ago when she had a wicked tummy bug and it spread from her to tera and myself. Good times of uckyness. NOT! Esp since it was coming out both ends. I guess only parents can laugh at that type of situation later on. Hell maybe it is just me. Wednesday rory had bday cupcakes at daycare with her friends. Tera left work early to be there. I could not make it but that night rory made home made pizza w us and we had cupcxakes with three candles to celebrate. She loves her presents we gave her. Then tomorrow we are celebrating at teras famillys house with da familly.
Not much going on in my life. I moved again this month. 225 bucks cheaper rent kinda sealed da deal. I have been playing my guitar as much as I can and I am in da process of getting a elec guitar that the local music store has on layaway for me. I hope to start taking lessons everyother week. I think with my crazy schedule that will work best. Also I am fat. I know this. I have always known this. Never denied it. Well it is a new year and I mean this and will stick to it but I need to lose weight and get in shape for not only my lifespan but for rory. I want to bike and ski and swim and hike. Hell just play and have fun with her without weezing. So I am gonna join a gym. Exercise three times a week. I am thinking mon wed and fri. It will work with my work schedule of doom. I already am drinking diet soda. Much better than my 2 liter of dew in each 8 hour shift I work plus whatever outside of work. U do not want to know how many calories I consume a week in just soda. Well I have been posting this on my new phone (tmobile google g1) so my hands are cramping. I am still adjusting to the phone but it is awesome. I am off to return to work. Night world.

Calling all friends... I have a question for you. I assume you all know of the flavored water that is out there by well... everyone now. I love the Dasani strawberry flavored water. I have a drinking problem and it needs to be stopped. (no not booze! SODA) I want to replace my soda addiction with a water addiction. Cause... well... water is good. I have been pondering a way to brew up my own version of the flavored water and drink that instead of soda. (plus regular water of course) I just am unsure if this will work. My idea is taking a brita water pitcher and mixing the water with some strawberry extract. I assume if the strawberry extract is anything like vanilla extract I will need to add a little sweetner. (memories of being a kid and drinking vanilla extract because it smelled good still haunt me) Splenda is what I am thinking. Does this idea seem like it would work to you? If not how do you think it would work. Let me know please. Thanks.

ben and jerry's vermonty python icecream rocks this world! coffee liquer ice cream with chocolate cookie crumbs and cow shaped chocolate pieces. =)
and now on with our regularly scheduled program.
so i worked a b shift o/t last night. we were sposed to go to the quarter final mens ice hockey game between cornell and clarkson. we were unable to get tickets though. i heard through the grape vine my boss waited to the last minute to get tickets. who knows. you know rumors. i was extremly bummed. some of the clients were bummed. would have been great for the clients. somthing out of the norm... the norm = saturday bowling... sunday movies at the plaza. they did go to syracuse though to the zoo yesterday which was cool. they were sposed to go to the mall to walk. woop di doo. go to a mall to window shop. sorry... alot of my clients do not have money carried on them at all. so it is no fun for them.
oh well. i got to go to work. i have 19 minutes to dress, pack and get to work.

It is 8:13 am. I went to bed at 10 last night. I still am unsure weather I should be up yet today. I will figure it out. I have to do laundry today before I can go to work. I do not want to but I do not want to wear dirty clothes. Oh well... enough morning blabbring.

so a recent concert of the band candid i like was recorded and is posted online... hosted by geocities. fucking idiot. i download two or three of the songs then the site exceeds it's bandwidth and is shutdown. one guy even offered space on his personal server to host this so this would not happen. has not changed though. grrrr

you know... i really hate mornings. i do not know why i do this to myself. i had a normal b shift at work yesterday. o/t that took away from my tera/david day. forgot yesterday was friday. doh! well i got 4 hours of sleep before work yesterday. went to bed at 1 am last night. now i am up to do a double. o/t too. but still. 6 hours of sleep. i gotta stop this lack of sleep shit. need to sleep regular hours. and job is not more important than familly life. o/t despite being nice... it drains my system. oh well i have to dress for work. later
