I might be up in the Bay Area this summer. well the Bay Area -ish. The great David Cope does a workshop in algorithmic composition (writing code which writes music) and if I figure out a way to pay for it, I'm going to be there. I might also be up in the Bay Area next week. David Cope is doing a presentation at Stanford through a computer music meetup that I spoke at last year, and I found a flight for only $150. all undecided but I am just as excited as fuck.

brian eno: Sometimes you learn as much from the things you don’t like as from the things you do like. The rejection side is as important as the endorsement part. You define who you are and where you are by the things that you know you are not. Sometimes that’s all the information you have to go on. I’m not that kind of person. You don’t quite know where you are but you find yourself in the space left behind by the things you’ve rejected.

I just left a comment on Andy W's Facebook page encouraging him to listen to some superclub trance. I don't know why exactly but it's very entertaining. I want to encourage everybody to leave comments on Andy's page encouraging him to listen to cheesy trance. Try it, you'll be surprised how much fun it is.
