[Ami can be seen lounging somewhere in her bedroom, a pile of dog-eared books at her side, a cup of tea resting on top of it. She's sitting with her back propped up against her bed, knees brought to her chest and an open book spread across her lap. By the angle of the camera, her communicator is resting on the floor, looking up. Ami notices it turned on, and she picks it up.]

...these things have a habit of recording all on their own, don't they? [A slightly worried look. That could be problematic.]

I suppose now's as good a time as any to ask, then. It's been brought to my attention that we're all from different places obviously, but also different points in history. It's easy to think of ourselves as being in the present, but it's quite possible that you and I are also from someone's past.

[Perhaps she shouldn't be following this line of thinking]

Which has be wondering, is this place we're all in...is it operating somehow...outside of the realm of time? Has there been any observation on this fact?

And consequentially...it's perhaps ignorant of me to assume that time operates the same here as it does back home. An earth's day is approximately twenty-four hours. But say some of you come from a place that isn't on earth, does the day seem longer or shorter than where you come from? Are we all operating on an earthly time basis?

[It was times like this that Ami wished Setsuna was still there.]

Oh! And...to the hosts and hostesses of the Christmas party...[Quick bow.] Thank you very much for letting me intrude upon your home. I hope it wasn't too much trouble.

[Ami is bundled up, nice and warm thanks to the scavenging and mall-trip that she took during that entire body-switch incident. She didn't mind that aspect all too much, seeing as she wasn't one who particularly enjoyed trying on clothes--that was much more Minako's thing. Anyway, there's a bit of a blush on Ami's face, mainly due to the unlikelihood that she's really done something like this before...

Thank you to all you greeted me upon my arrival. Those who seem to recognize me (outside of Usagi-chan and Rei-chan), I do apologize that whatever memory I have of you and this place seems to have been erased.

I would like it very much if we were to resume our relations, however I may need to be re-introduced to several of you. I'd like it if I didn't rely on Usagi-chan entirely to learn about this place. She has better things to do than to baby-sit me.

[She says this with a nervous smile.]

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had a spare of any of the following I could borrow...

[Ami doesn't refer to a piece of paper, doesn't look up in thought - she recalls all of this like it was her birthday.]

A teapot, kosher salt, saline solution, syringes, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, or menthol, butter, lotion, or petroleum jelly.

I would greatly appreciate it. If you don't have them, if you have suggestions of places to search for said items, that would be helpful as well.

Oh, and, uh...

[She fiddles a bit with her communicator, and it goes out, except for--]

[Ami appears on the screen, her soft features hardened into a gravely serious expression.]

Alright.

[She lifts up a finger as though she's about to wag it, but instead it remains erect beneath her chin.]

As expected, Usagi-chan is not being forthcoming in the slightest as to what has transpired here prior to my arrival. [Re-arrival? Doesn't matter.]

I would consider it a personal favor if anyone who sees this will come forward to provide me what they know.

And for those that don't know me. I will return favors.

[Her determined expression softens to a more pleading one.]

So...please. Help me understand what's wrong with my precious friend?

[It didn't take much effort for Ami to figure out how to use the device she found. Honestly, it took more effort to come up with something to say once she realized that she had turned on the video function. In fact, the moment she saw that it was recording, she switched it off so she could think through what exactly she wanted to say. She turns the video back on. It was probably best if she didn't think too much on it. It would only over-complicate things, and the last thing this situation called for was confusion.]

Excuse me? Does anyone here understand me? I see a lot of English signs around, and...well...

[Her voice starts to fade off as it has habit to do. She looks off screen, once again taking in her surroundings. Maybe she was mistaken. She continues to talk.]

Be that as it may, I suppose it is what it is. I am Ami Mizuno, age seventeen. I am in my second year of high school, and my blood type is--uh--[She faces the screen again, and begins to blush. Ami nervously smiles with a soft chuckle.] I suppose I'm getting ahead of myself.

If anyone would be so kind to tell me...if...[There's that thoughtful look again. This time she brings a few fingers to her chin and starts to tap them.]

It doesn't necessarily look like an earthquake took place. Not to mention, for all the jostling that seems to have occurred, I certainly hadn't felt anything. [Her face draws closer to the screen, until only the upper portion of her eye and a furrowed eyebrow appears on the now-blurred camera. The voice is a bit louder, and muffled.] I wonder if this device as any analytical abilities...or maybe Internet to access the news sites? Surely if there was an earthquake, they'd have something up...ah!

[She pulls the camera back, and she blushes again.] I'm sorry. I should probably turn off the camera if I'm going to have a
go at tinkering...I suppose...I will be near the high-rise you see in the skyline...I wonder if there are others? I wish I could be certain, since this isn't exactly my home-street I see before me...

Th-thank you in advance! [Ami does a quick bow before shutting off the feed.]

Hello everyone! If you have this journal friended for anything other than the

adstringendum pan-fandom RPG, please de-friend it, or you may be very confused!

I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me for the club day at school this Friday? I think that it would be excellent if all of us were to join a club of some sort in order to offer a change of pace from our studies!

Also, I noticed there is a freshman-course that everyone is required to take in the Humanities department--I am going to offer setting up a study break every week in order for us to support each other with our assignments in the class, to make sure all of us make a good grade!

I can't help but be a little nervous--our first day of university is approaching within the next few weeks, and I get the feeling this will be different from anything we have ever experienced before.

Usagi-chan, Minako-chan, don't be too gloomy about it! Thing of it this way--you get to study only what you want to study, and fine-tune your education to a way that suits you! It's more personalized, and allows you to invest yourself into your own education.

I am very excited to finally be able to start my pre-med education, rather than just going through the motions at the library every weekend. My mother is actually taking the tie out of her busy schedule in the next week or two in order to help me map out the plan for the next year or two--since she feels that whatever advisor is assigned to me my freshman year will not be adequate for what my needs are. It's exciting, to speak with my mother on what feels like an equal intellectual level.

She still hasn't given me an exact date we are to do this though. Hopefully within the next week, so I know which classes to take.
