Yes, she's burried in socks. This was the day of Makayla's first laugh. Darren threw a sock at her at she laughed from deep down in her belly. I almost cried it was such a beautiful sound. So of course Darren had to empty her sock drawer. She laughed harder with every throw, so did we.

Hello, from cloud nine

Alright, so I decided to come down from cloud nine long enough to share the news. Makayla arrived at 11:47 Saturday morning (march 20). My water broke on friday night at a softball game, quite the experience, and 13 hours later she was here. We had a few moments of concern, we both had fevers and her heart rate dropped. All in all though it was a smooth delivery. Darren was the most amazing coach ever. He talked me through the whole thing. Nothing can describe the joy that filled our hearts when we her her soft cry. She is beautiful, and such a good baby. We are all adjusting well to our growing family and loving every minute of it.

Crazy to think we could have Makayla any day now and she will be a healthy full term baby!

Okay, so even I am tired of looking at my blog post....Here are some pictures I took just for fun in the rain! I am no photographer, but I love to be in the rain, this was my best excuse. I enjoyed snapping pictures until the thunder and lightening began, then I got my behind back inside.
