again on Saturday for a friend's birthday. I guess that's what happens when you move to a
city full of farms :) Here's some pictures from the trips.

Here are just a few of the pictures from Spencer's 1 yr. photo shoot. He was pretty grumpy, but Andrea Hanks did an amazing job. She is truly a miracle worker! Spencer's pictures turned out FaBuLoUs! To view her photography blog, click here.

I'm not exactly sure why a graduation from Kindergarten is necessary. It's not like she's going to graduate from first grade next year; but nonetheless, we are proud of our little graduate. Halle has officially passed off Kindergarten from the list of great achievements she will conquer in her lifetime. After all, didn't somebody once say that "everything you need to know you learned in Kindergarten?" Anyhow, Halle will miss Ms. Beier. She was a really great teacher. We're sure she will do great in 1st grade!
Our plan to drive our Trooper for another year was fOiLeD by its mechanical imperfection of losing power on left hand turns. It turns out that it could have been any number of repairs that may or may NoT have fixed the problem, so rather than dump more money into fixing it that it was worth, we traded our previously reliable fRiEnD in for a FrEaKiN' SwEeT RiDe!! Granted, it is not fully loaded, and it is certainly not an Escalade, it is BY FAR the nicest car we have ever owned. Our checkbook is not very happy with us, but it was time. It was time.
Potty training was a slow process at our house. Mostly because I was too lazy to be consistent with it. But nonetheless, Cameron is officially potty trained. I guess he was just ready. He only needs a diaper at night, and he even stays dry during naps! Besides, who wouldn't want to wear transformers underwear? In fact, I'm pretty sure that if they made character G's, Jason would be first in line :)
We got out of town just in time for the springtime snow storms to hit Utah. There couldn't have been a better time to get out of dodge. We packed up the whole house (basically) and headed for sunny San Diego. We did lots of fun things, like go to sea world, visit wild seals at a protected beach, go to an easter egg hunt on Coronado island, swim in the pool, visit the LDS temple, and play on the beach.
Sure, we had our setbacks, like any family vacation does, like car problems, trips to the ER, and falling luggage (which resulted in a damaged laptop screen). But we were DETERMINED to have fun, regardless of what happened. AND WE DID!!
