We stayed at the same KOA Kampground in Custer, SD that we stayed at 10-12 years ago. Not much has changed. =0) Our tent was on a nice little ant hill... so the tent was covered in big black ants the whole time - luckily we were able to keep most of them on the outside, and not the inside.

We have decided that maybe we won't camp again until we have another trailer.... I guess we are all big wimps now.

We also had to go to the same little cafe we went to, to have a huge slice of rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream. Mmmmmm Dakota even tried a piece and said that it was... "ok"

Our main trip this summer was to Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota... it sure is a looooonnnngggg drive, but it was worth it. We had a blast and seeing such an amazing landmark is well worth it. The last time we came to Mt. Rushmore when Hunter was 2 or 3... so it was fun to bring them back and for Logan to see it for the first time. We discovered a mini-hike that goes down below the monument and we able to see it from a different perspective.

Our next hike was to the Escalante Cross - just up from the Spanish Fork Reservoir. It's a short hike, and we were able to call Grandpa Stickney at the top and asked him to meet us down at the reservoir to go fishing.

What we've done this summer so far....

One of the first things we did this summer was hike up to the Hot Springs... it was a good hike with a great reward at the end... or the middle I guess - since you then have to hike all the way back. Dakota and Hunter thought that I was too slow, so they booked it all the way to the hot springs and part way there, they left me a note in the trail that said "Mom, you're too slow" But we had a fun time sitting in the hot springs. On the way back, Dave took us off the main path and we went up to a cool little cave.

And here are some pictures of cute little Aspen. I think she looks just like her big brother. She has some jaundice right now... but hopefully it will all get better soon. Such cute little babies!!!

Our 3rd grandbaby was born to Keli & Jayde on July 11, 2010. She is the first granddaughter and her name is Lyrik Marie Sullivan. She is so dang cute and has been such a quiet and good baby. Just 4 days later on July 15, 2010 we had grandbaby #4 - another girl born to Travis & Shantal out in Kansas, so we have only seen pictures. Her name is Aspen Dawn Stickney.

Wow! I'm such a slacker!!!

It's all Facebooks fault!!! I post everything on there now. Well... here are some pictures of Logan at the Pine Wood Derby... He took 3rd or 4th place everytime... but he still had a blast!! Such a cute boy!!!
