The Eames House Special Edition House of Cards is a new version of the classic Eames Small House of Cards—this time, as a tribute to Charles and Ray Eames’ most iconic architectural achievement: the Eames House.
This special double-deck set features 108 remastered photographs originally captured by Charles and Ray Eames for their 1955 film House: After Five Years of Living. Each image offers a rare, intimate glimpse into the couple’s personal collection of objects, textures, and architectural details- seen through their own lens, from their California home.
From close-ups of cherished everyday items to wide shots revealing the elegant interplay of space, light, and structure, these cards celebrate the designers’ ability to elevate the ordinary into the extraordinary. Each card has a matching pair, making the set both a tactile building toy and a beautiful matching game- a dual homage to form and play.
The release of this Special Edition also marks a moment of resilience. The Eames House narrowly escaped destruction during the Pacific Palisades Wildfires. Thanks to restoration efforts, the house has reopened, and the spirit of the Eameses endures. As proud sponsors of the Charles and Ray Eames Foundation, the Eames Office will donate 15% of all sales of this deck to the Charles and Ray Eames Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund.
