Weird day (in funny ways)

Zoinks... today's been weird, with the DSL connection for intranet.org going wonky, first off, then a series of meetings over at Ualberta with only vague results, mainly telling me what questions to ask so I know what questions to ask, and now I get home (and prepare to buy a replacement DSL modem, bah) to find that an offhand comment I posted to Slashdot has been "modded up" -- twice! It's years since I've had anything there earn moderation points, and I'm not sure it's even been two at once, and for sure never +1 funny and +1 informative on the same post. Don't get your expectations up if you go read it, though -- I'm not even sure which part someone found funny and which part someone else found informative! (o,O)
